| What is a Broker?
A Broker can mean a couple of different things, first it might be a person who makes the buying and selling and it's commended by an investor. It also can be a company who under a fee provides information and personalized advice for the customer. It could also mean an expert real estate agent who's representing the seller's interests. The brokers have licence and knowledge in their own field such as finance insurance or real estate. A stock broker is the person who buys and sell the stocks after receiving orders from the customer. The stock broker can a floor or an upstairs broker. On the floor he makes the exchange up close, the upstairs broker works with the retail customers.
In the early days only the rich and wealthy could hire brokers but after the internet boom, many new opportunities sprung up. Now days almost anybody can exchange stocks with minimal costs. The main definition of a broker is a person who brings together two different parties. Insurance broker is an agent who's selling insurance to the public and he receives a commission on every sale he's made by the insurance company. | | | | |
